To help, here are photos and descriptions of our sumptuous fabrics for an idea of drape and feel as well as fiber content. The stunning array of colors available for each fabric is listed in the drop down menu in both the Design Studio and the Boutique. Still can’t decide? Order fabric swatches and a color card through the Boutique so you can touch and feel the loveliness firsthand.

We now offer both traditionally produced silks and other natural fibers and a growing selection of sustainably produced, fair trade and organic natural fabric options. As we find more fabrics along these lines suitable for dresses we will be adding them to the options, so check back often!



Silk Organza   Silk Satin-Face Organza
 
Crisp, sheer, matte fabric is incredibly light and airy, not clingy in the least. 100% Silk.   Crisp, semi-sheer satin faced fabric similar to organza but not so sheer and with more substance. Features a lovely pearly sheen. 100% Silk.


Silk Chiffon   Silk Crinkle Chiffon
 
Soft, sheer, matte fabric with a slight crepe texture that drapes divinely and falls more softly than organza. 100% Silk.   Soft, sheer, matte fabric that, just like regular chiffon, drapes divinely and flows freely, but is put through a surface treatment that creates permanent crinkles. 100% Silk.


Silk Charmeuse   Silk Crepe-back Satin
 
Very shiny face and crepe back fabric with a soft, beautiful drape and a more formal feel. Tends to cling. Confidence in your figure and perfectly smooth undergarments are critical. 100% Silk.   Supple fabric with soft, shiny satin face and crepe back incorporates incredible drape for a formal look and feel. Thicker, heavier and a tad more forgiving than charmeuse, still tends to cling. Confidence in your figure and perfectly smooth undergarments are critical! 100% Silk.


Silk Heavy Charmeuse   Silk 4-Ply Crepe Korean Woven
 
Moderately shiny face and crepe back fabric incorporates the softness, beautiful drape and formal feel of charmeuse in a heavier weight. Tends to cling. Confidence in your figure and perfectly smooth undergarments are critical. 100% Silk.   Soft crepe with an incredible drape and a matte/pearl sheen. Significantly heavier weight than charmeuse. Confidence in your figure and perfectly smooth undergarments are critical. 100% Silk.


Silk Taffeta Iridescent   Silk/Cotton
 
Crisp, smooth and semi-shiny fabric has tons of body to help it hold shape well. Colors incorporate a stunning iridescent quality. 100% Silk.   Crisp but soft fabric blend with a semi-shiny face. 57% Silk, 43% Cotton.


Silk/Wool   Wool Satin Gabardine, English
 
Crisp but soft fabric blend with a semi-shiny face. Non-scratchy wool perfect for cooler occasions. 42% Silk, 58% Wool.   Soft, semi-drape fabric with a slight sheen. Non-scratchy. 100% Wool.


Silk Peau de Soie (Double Face)   Silk Face Satin, Silk/Rayon
 
Lush, thick and soft fabric with a brilliant pearly shine. Very formal and elegant, heavier than typical satins. 100% Silk satin double-sided Peau de Soie.   Soft, semi-shiny satin with good body and a slightly crisp drape. 35% Silk, 65% Rayon.


Silk Faille   Silk Zibeline
 
Soft and slightly crisp fabric that holds its shape well with body to spare. Similar in weight to satin but incorporates thicker cross yarns for its characteristic rib. 100% Silk.   Crisp, full body fabric with a matte finish that holds its shape well. Heavier than taffeta, with unique twill weave structure. 100% Silk.


Silk Shantung   Silk Dupioni
 
Crisp and semi-shiny, full body fabric that holds its shape well, slightly shinier than Dupioni, it is a tad smoother with fewer natural slubs and less texture but plenty of natural variations for a unique natural beauty. 100% Silk.   Crisp and semi-shiny, full body fabric that holds its shape well. Unique surface texture, slubs and uneven yarns are natural to this fabric and particular to its unusual beauty. 100% Silk.


Fair Trade Handwoven Silk Shantung    Fair Trade Handwoven Silk Organza
 

Handwoven in small villages on very old family looms. Fair trade price paid to weavers for their handwork, the sale of these fabrics provides much needed additional income for the villages. No dye, no bleach, sustainable. Fabric has slubs and texture and is crisp with lots of body. Each piece is slightly different and has it's own character due to being handwoven. It's one of our favorite fabrics! 100% Silk

Medium weight, soft organic fabric with moderate sheen. Produced with fiber reactive low-impact inks and dyes in accordance with the Organic Trade Association's Fiber Processing Standards. Certified Organic 100% Cotton Sateen.

Hemp/Silk Charmeuse    Hempcel
 

Hemp and silk are blended into a lovely fabric and they give it a nice sheen and supple hand. This particular version drapes much like a satin does, it's not limp at all like some hemp/silk blends can be. 100% SBP® (Sustainable Biodegradable Product).
60% Hemp, 40% Silk.

   Hemp and Tencel create this plain weave fabric and give it a matte sheen and lots of body. It is crisp like a woven cotton and works nicely for structured designs and more casual events. 100% SBP® (Sustainable Biodegradable Product). 55% Hemp, 45% Tencel.


Organic Linen   Soy Knit
 

Crisp, classic linen in a light weight suitable for dresses. Linen is cool and comortable and with the added benefit of being organic it makes for a great easy-wear summer dress. 100% Organic Linen

Bamboo/Organic Cotton Knit    Silk Jersey
 

Soft, lush and thick this interlock knit makes a great t-shirt to be worn with one of our organic cotton skirts for a more casual event. 70% Bamboo, 30% Organic Cotton

   Wonderfully soft jersey knit with a great sheen to make it a bit more formal. Smooth undergarments are important. 100% Silk.
